Practice Report (Any Species)

Date: 10/10/2022

Number: 1

I was near SBF Construction and Paving in Temple, Texas when I spotted a monarch flying north past a building. The insect changed direction as I watched it and flew south around the corner of the building, where I lost sight of it. I was not able to tell if it was male or female, but it's bright colors and the undamaged condition of it's wings made me think that it was probably recently hatched. Total duration of sighting was probably five seconds, and I did not see any other monarchs in association with it.
