Monarch male in my Peoria, AZ pollinator garden, 10:10am, 82-degrees, clear, calm. Incredibly active, zooming all over, chasing Queens, finally landed on A. subulate for moments; later on lantana. Quite worn, tiny hole through left lower wing.. can see light shining through in this photo. Wing edges worn, several nibbles or small pieces missing. Nonetheless, extremely active and territorial, in the garden for hours. Handsome little dude, even with the wear... likely traveled far!
