Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/13/2022

Number: 100

I first noticed them about 9:15am this morning while walking. Some swooped past me, others widely dispersed. At street level and also high up in the sky, steadily heading south. There are probably many, many more gliding through right now. Other people told me this morning that they saw the Monarchs yesterday evening. One person observed yesterday, three or so nectaring at some flowering plant that covers her mailbox. I have an Esperanza flowering, with a small Texas Horny Toad residing under it. Hummingbirds still passing through (I think they are Ruby Throats), and using their sugar water feeders.
