Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 10/15/2022

Number: 1

Sub adult male checked in at 7:15 am. Zoomed in at shrimp plant next to purple gurantica. Took off back up into maple tree. Bothered about squirells.
Came back after squirells left at 8:15, quickly to purple gurantica, red porterweed. Back up into river birch tree.

There is a lot of male feathers coming in on lower throat, and a light green back. Seems very late for sub adult male to be here.

Y'all dont need to fret if still seeing hummers in east. They can take cold. Go into torper if needed. Leave when fats are built up. Bring feeders in at night like we do if cold fronts come.
