moved approximately 48 caterpillars from outside milk weed plants into protected netting and wire containers and daily replaced milk weed leaves. From 48 a total of 43 monarchs were released almost all over Sept and October 2022. There were 26 females and 17 males released. In my yard I had at least 30 to 40 milkweed plants. The caterpillars came so late in the season that we almost ran out of milkweed leaves. The last monarch (a male) was released on October 15, 2022.
