At 3:38 pm today, I was stopped in my vehicle at the intersection of SW HK Dodgen Loop and South First Street in Temple, Texas. I saw a large butterfly flying south across SW HK Dodgen Loop for a total of about ten seconds. Due to the size and general shape, I believe that it was a monarch. There is a cold front moving through Temple today, and the weather is blustery with temperatures in the low 70s. I did not see any other butterflies with this one.
