We had ruby-throated hummingbirds in our yard every day from 1 August 2022 through 14 October 2022. We had a Rufous/Allen's hummingbird on 14 and 15 October 2022. The photo is of a buff-bellied hummingbird 16 October 2022 (it was apparently in our yard for just a few minutes - it was nectaring from flowers and perching in a plant in a hanging basket). The resolution is not good but it was definitely a buff-bellied hummingbird. We have not seen any hummingbirds since 16 October 2022, but are hopeful that we might get winter residents again this year (we had none last winter, but the two previous winters we had 5+ each winter).
