Very brief encounter … no time for a photo and not close enough to sex. Very clearly a monarch. I spotted on my farm where I knew there were some
Late eclosing butterflies. My last 3 releases were ones I raised and that was a good 1.5 weeks ago! It’s been very cold here at night (37 on a few occasions). Fortunately most of my butterfly bushes still have some blooms on them. Hope he/she gets out of here fast!
