Just before noon today, three monarchs appeared on the butterfly bushes, continuing the pattern of three per day.
As of 5:30 PM, the three are still feeding on the bushes.
Once, when I checked on them this afternoon, one of the Monarchs was sitting very still on a purple spire of the butterfly bush. At first, I was worried that the Monarch was injured. So, after watching for about 12 minutes, the Monarch began to move a bit and then simply flew to another purple flowered spire and then to another.
(I suppose this Monarch was having its siesta.)
