Forgot to send this last reported sighting of a hummingbird at our feeders at our location. Observation time was between 10am and 11:45am. Two hummers. one confirmed as adult female the other unsure whether full-fledged adult or younger seen at our last three hanging feeders. Obviously, they were passing through. Temperature at the time was 58 degrees NNE winds gusting to 12mph. Cloudy skies with overnight low temperatures expected to be near 45 degrees. Casual observations the last several days showed visiting migrating numbers at our location dwindling to only two or three hummers spotted by us. Note: Since I reported this late after the fact we did leave three of our six feeders up and refreshed every two days, for fourteen days after our last sighting on October 2, 2022. No other hummingbirds were observed at the feeders at any time during that fourteen-day time period. Now we plan for next year and what additional attracts we can add to our landscape.
