I'm not a qualified hummingbird expert/bandar. Just heard our Houston Chronicle columnist, naturalist say they do get off course. It could be a sub adult Rufous that is able to take cold in Ontario.
Here I hear one chirping early morning, we see feeder levels drop with something going to it. But never see it during day. I did have a broadtail go to feeder at night in 2011.
