Monarch Adult Sighted

Monarch Waystation #271 reports a monarch sighted nectaring in the backyard at 10:50 am on some golden tropical milkweeds in my patio pots. Attempted to net and tag but flew away up and over the roof. At 1:20 pm looked out the patio door and saw a monarch again. Presume it was the same one, but can't be sure. I did not have a camera handy but did have my butterfly net ready, so tagged it with Monarch Watch tag AGMS275 and released her at 1:25 pm. She flew up and over the end unit's yard out of sight northwestward. This female had a slightly torn and curled front edge to its right hind wing that still allowed room to place the tag in the right place. She had a different cadence to her wingbeat because of the curled wing but it didn't slow her down. I saw the same tagged female resting on the potted golden tropical milkweeds as I looked out the window later at 2:04 pm. Have not seen her since. Via con Dios!
