I was walking in the Conservation Garden area of the Virginia Living Museum [aka Monarch Waystation #299] after my volunteer shift about 2:13 pm when I saw a monarch fly north across the grassy area towards the main building. The monarch was too looping and fast in its flight for me to get a good look to determine its gender.
