I just spotted an adult male hummingbird shortly after 7am at one of my feeders this morning. He's definitely an adult male, as his gorget is fully colored; however, I was not able to determine if he is a ruby or rufous. I'll watch for me him throughout the day and see if I can get a photo. I would tend to think he is more likely to be a rufous heading east, as I haven't seen an adult male ruby since September. We still have lots of cuphea flowering, as well as some shrimp plant, salvia, lantana, and fuchsia. A cold front is coming in and we're expecting several really cold nights with temps under freezing early to mid next week. I'm keeping 2 hummingbird feeders up, swapped out with clean ones every 3 days
