Hummingbird Sighting (Adult Male)
Sightings report image

Date: 11/10/2022

Number: 1

The adult male rufous is still with us. He was feeding from the feeders and remaining flowers all throughout the day. It is due to get quite cold here at night beginning on Sunday, with temps down in the 20s, and persisting for at least the better part of a week. If he is still with us on Sunday, I'll put out our heated hummingbird feeders. This is by far the latest we've ever had a hummingbird and the first time we've had a rufous.

I'll continue to try to get a better photo of him. The one attached is of poor quality, taken through a window. So far, he will not let me get anywhere near him when I'm outside.
