It appears to be a female Rufus or immature male. We saw it on our black and blue salvia. After seeing it, we made nectar and placed a feeder back in the garden and it had remained in our area since 11/7. We see it multiple times a day at the feeder and flowers. This bird is more shy than it regular visitors, so obtaining a good photo has been challenging.
