female monarch on the tithonia at Tohono Chul Park north of Tucson. A beautiful 49 acres of botanical gardens and Sonoran desert wilderness.

It's still warm in Tucson and flowers are still blooming and we were fortunate to see a couple of monarch working the tithonia shrubs, which grow to about 7-8 feet tall.
