This Juvenile Male/Female was identified as Rufous Hummingbird by the local Audubon chapter. First one ever in Putnam County New York. So the name is Columbus, for being the explorer ! It took a sip from heated feeder today after we placed a squirrel baffle over the feeder. So, food won't be a problem. Will see about weather when real winter comes next week - daytime in 30s, 20s at nights.
