Columbus, the Juvenile Male Rufous drinking 1:4 sugar water from feeder this morning. All 8 feeders but ONE heated feeder, were frozen in the morning. He was pecking at ice at the mouths of feeding ports, trying to break it, rather than drinking pure liquid from the heated feeder within 10ft. We allowed the feeders to freeze so that he would go to the heated feeder, but he didn't. The hearth on the heated feeder is black, though the feeder is red. Painting the hearth red tonight and will attempt again tomorrow.
