Columbus drinking Protein infused Nectar, at last!!

Here is the recipe: 1/8teaspoon Whey protein Isolate (unflavored) + 1/4 cup Sugar water (1:4).

At present, changing daily. Don't know how long the bird will accept this nectar. Will see how long this nectar lasts at room temperature.

The key is to use a feeder like this one where the bird can not see the milky liquid from above and mistake it for moldy nectar. Vertical feeders can be wrapped with Red tape/cloth/paper so the liquid is invisible to the bird.
