Saw this monarch flying around out by the garden yesterday. It was landing on the ground frequently so I put my hat over it and gently carried it over to the herb bed where there is still a few bluemist flowers blooming. Put him on one and he said a few minutes before flying over to another left him alone and didn't see him later. He looked healthy, so hope he makes it. Weather was sunny, breezy and in the 50's.
He looked perfect, like he had just emerged from his cocoon.
