Sightings report image

Date: 12/21/2022

Number: 1

Juvenile male Anna's hummingbird headed for the feeder on the patio. Temps have been chilly, even for Tucson, but the nectar hasn't frozen. Sugar water must freeze at a lower temp.

You can see the pin feathers as his adult feathers begin to appear. His gorget will be bright pink by the time he is done.
