In a sea covered with whitecaps, 14 southbound gray whales were spotted.
The wind was severe and blows were batted down quite abruptly.

In addition, we observed 4 humpback whales being very active with flipper slapping, tail lobbing, a tail breaching.

Rain returned early this afternoon putting an end to our ability to observe.
