I saw what I considered a wave, they were all perched in a tree (25) and flying down a few at a time to the ground to eat and then back up. I went outside close to the tree and tried to count as best as I could. I love the song they sing. Such a welcome sight. It was about 10 am and they stayed about an hour until the neighbor let their dogs out. They then flew over to another neighborhood neighbor last yard and scattered into a couple trees which is where I took the photo.
. . .we are having very warm temps in the 40’s and no snow for weeks. So the ground is not frozen. There was a post on face book by another friend who also saw a group of about 20 robins the same day. I keep record of when we see robins here and this is about the earliest we have seen them especially this far from the river - about 3 miles from here
