Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers
Sightings report image

Date: 01/18/2023

Number: 1

Been out all morning since 7 a.m. definitely a Rufous, but not a female like in first Rufous report. It's going to coral porterweed blooming. Drug the photo of potted porterweed in house during December 4 day jet stream drop freeze. Coral honeysuckle is blooming in kitchen window and he goes over there to it bc it's possible we have 2 hummingbirds as husband Mike saw a hummingbird on /honeysuckle, feeder area same time I did this one out back.

Rain storms coming thru weekly. I would like to note it's hard to see orange on this one due to overcast days. But saw an orange tail, flanks while he's perched in maple tree twigs. Sometimes Broadtails look like Rufous.
