Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 01/19/2023

Number: 5

Bonaire

[Additional information contributed by observer, added by Journey North, 01/20/2023]:

I didn’t get a chance to take photos.

Temperature in Bonaire was about 80F, sunny and windy. They are experiencing a wetter than normal climate so there were many flowers except for cacti

The monarch’s seemed smaller than the average ones we are used to in Ontario. (We're on holiday)

Colouring was normal

since we were in a vehicle, I did not get a chance to identify male or female

Also saw a few in Curacao the day before. Again, the few we saw were smaller than we are used to seeing

Kralendijk, Bonaire

Latitude: 12.2 Longitude: -68.3
