I was coming from my dentist's office and heard a commotion near the parking lot.. looked up into the tree canopy and there were SO many robins! I managed to count approx. 31 individuals! This is by far the earliest I've ever seen a wave of these birds, what the heck is going on? LOL They were busy eating old fruit from crabapple trees. This may have something to do with the fact that our January up until this point has been void of any snow and there have even been earthworms a few times during mild rainy days. Then, today, a small wave showed up in my backyard! About 7 I'd say. In fact this whole area is now populated with super early spring robin birdos! I need to put out mealworms and dried cranberries for them. Seriously, I even witnessed one singing a territory song. Wow! This is the stuff birdo nerdos like me love!
