Monarch completed eclosion yesterday (1/27) during the late afternnon. The monarch was moved to a protected location for the evening. "Day 2" monarch is pictured during the morning of 1/28. The monarch eventually took flight after being relocated in a sunny area. Total is 7 of 8 chrysalides completing eclosion phase during mid January 2023 to present at this site. One additional chrysalis is currently being observed.
