I saw them in my front and back yards, feeding in the grass and intermittently in the trees as something scared them. They also were drinking from the top of my pool cover, as it is a source of fresh water. It was in the afternoon and I usually count them once they've settled. There were about 30 of them feeding in the grass. I don't know what they were eating, as it's too cold for worms to be at the surface or to find bugs, I assume. They didn't remain here long; within a half hour they moved on.
