Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers
Sightings report image

Date: 02/01/2023

Number: 1

Male Rufous still here 8:26 a.m. > photo of, in the rain. Feeder first then went on patio hovering, and stumped with potted Rokin deep purple tent protector over plant. Not to mention did a fast take it off plant quick. Came back to nectar within 20 minutes. That winter mix warning last night was getting closer to us but didn't after all.

He seems to move around more in showers than yesterday's cold wind no rain. Not checking, going to flowers on potted plants either. Checked on red porterweed at back door today with sparrows flying in that area. He looped out of that delimna.
All day showers and tired of this la nina. Only got to sit ourback 2x to view him in holly tree when first arrived on Jan. 17th. 2023

Rufous is getting something off bottle tree red, purple spice lids on tips. Could be sips of water or bugs. Investigation that one.
