Sightings report image

Date: 02/09/2023

Number: 5

We spotted our first robins for 2023 in our front yard this afternoon.   Does 5 constitute a “wave”?   In the photo, the single robin was to the left of the tree that can be seen at the left edge of the large photo.   The portion with the 4 robins to the right of the tree is a bit fuzzy as it was shot through a screened window.

They didn’t stick around long enough for me to tell if they were searching for worms or rotting ornamental pear fruit from our trees (or something else).

At the time (~2:20 PM) the sky was overcast, the air temperature was 53°F, with a dew point of 39°F, humidity at 63%, the air pressure was 28.51 inches and dropping slowly, with a light 8 mph breeze from the WSW.
