Sightings report image

Date: 02/16/2023

Number: 1

Male Rufous 9 a.m. in 20mph nnw wind gust going to both feeders that being north, west sides. Checked out minute blossoms of potted Vamillionaire Cuphea, Fashion orange salvia at 7:15 a m., but still prefers Rokin deep purple salvia. Inground gurantica. Black and blue salvias and potted Blue suede shoes are coming up for spring migraters.

For three days now Rufous has been doing early morning up and down ariels after plant nectaring out of north east maple tree twig when warmer than today around 7 a.m. Keeps a lookout on twig, all around as I also see him flying around perimeter scouting our area. He should be checking out soon, or stay until March. He needs more breeding orange to attract a female.
Will report date of departure.
