Intimate Moment - Columbus fertilizing plants below!! Tongue is protruding a bit.

Since past week, Columbus is resting most of day hours, only fly hunting in his roosting area. Due to heat, insects have retreated to soil or hiding in cool spots. Woolly bear caterpillars in the greenhouse have finished munching, ready to pupate - a sign of Spring!! Outdoor temperatures are dropping next week. Begonia, Azalea, Pansy, Fuchsia and Cuphea have started blooming. Stachytarpeta, a plant that starts Hummingbird World War, is making buds. No blooms on Banana/Pineapple this year it seems.
