Milkweed (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 02/25/2023

Number: 1

We found this asperula milkweed at the back of our lot under overcast skies. It's at a location that there were plants last season and was marked by rocks to protect it on the neighborhood perimeter path. The largest stem is just over 3 inches long. No others found nearby although this area was full of milkweed last season. This is our first of the season and it most likely emerged several days ago. Agarita and henbit deadnettle also blooming in the area.
