Yesterday male Rufous was challenged with wind gust so stuck to pinch waist perky pet 4 port feeder on the west side battling south winds. I thought he was going to leave bc he went to feeder around 5 p.m.  Was here at 6:40 a.m. this morning in another bad fog event on Rokin deep purple salvia. Red porterweed is reblooming again he first went to in January. Not going to it yet. Rufous sits out on watch constantly in trees.
This is the smallest size, young male Rufous we have ever had overwintering here.
