Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 02/28/2023

Number: 1

A disappointing daylong Milkweed surveys at YMCA Roberts Ranch, showed no milkweeds in the three designated monitoring sites.
We did see three tiny emergent Antelope Horns up on a ridge.

Back at home, my husband and I sat outside enjoying the late afternoon, when he spotted this lone Monarch, nectaring on a Mountain Laurel.
We watched and photgraphed it for over an hour.
