Bald Eagle

Date: 03/03/2023

Number: 1

I was driving along the Carter Boulevard at approximately 11:45am.
There was a dead possum, or large rat in the middle of the road about 50 feet ahead of me.
The bald eagle dip down to try and pick it up and then raised up directly in front of our car and over the roof.
This is the second bald eagle we’ve seen the three years we’ve lived here.
The first sighting was approximately 12 miles away in Morehead city North Carolina.
What a beautiful bird it was!
It’s wingspan tip to tip, was almost 5 feet!
Isn’t nature amazing!
