Raphy, our overwintering male Rufous hummingbird, is still with us. Today, was a nasty, cold, wet day, beginning with ice and snow and lingering in the 30s all day. We have 2 of his heated feeders up, plus we swapped out a 3rd non heated feeder (his favorite) all day. The next 10 days are forecasted to have many nights/early mornings well below freezing, some at mid twenties or so. We have lots of perennials coming up, many with buds, so we're really hoping and praying that it doesn't get as cold as they are saying! I'm sure Raphy and all the other birdies agree!
