Number: 1

First year Texas native habitat project on back half acre to benefit pollinators and birds as well as other wildlife. We are also installing a small pond. I’m being selective in planting mostly northeast Texas natives including various milkweeds for monarchs. Planted seeds last fall so the plants are slow to take off. There is a lot more going on below ground than what we see above ground… currently plants are small but are developing deep root systems to support their growth and should take off once the temperatures warm up.
