Sightings report image

Date: 03/26/2023

Number: 1

A very unusual guest here in Bristol, FL who has a very distinct sound when flying. We are thinking Bahama woodstar but not sure. Can anyone help us out identifying our little guest? Thanks so much!

[Note by observer, added by Journey North, 03/27/2023]:
We have Rufous hummers all winter and Ruby throats all summer but this little fella was not like any we have ever seen here and made a distinct hum when flying that we have never heard.
