Tulips EMERGED
Sightings report image

Date: 03/30/2023

Number: 250

The Red Emperor tulips have been slow to emerge. I planted 250 and as of today, 30-40 are poking up from the ground. Whereas, several other types of tulips planted just feet away from these are already blooming, but they’re short/stalky. The Red Emperor tulips were planted deeper - 8”-12” and about a month earlier. The temperatures in DFW have dipped to freezing as recently as a couple of weeks ago. Currently, we’re experiencing daily rain/drizzle with some warmer days (70’s) and chilly nights (40’s).
