Much of the milkweed in this garden was originally planted in 2020. It was nice to see the first stems of Swamp milkweed emerging today (circle closest to bottom). A tropical milkweed about 10’ away also has new growth sprouting about 4”-6” from the ground, a Whorled milkweed has a full stem of new leaves, and a Horsetail milkweed had a couple of inches of new growth peeking up from the ground. The Showy, Common, Balloon, and Antelope milkweeds are not showing any signs of new growth yet.
