Today I saw an adult male Black-chinned hummingbird on one of my feeders, while another male (presumably) doing what I thought was a mating ritual. I haven't seen any females yet but I have seen many males do this ritual to the females. It goes high up in the sky then comes down and back up like a "U" over & over. It's interesting to watch and it does it quite a few times but it makes a distinct sound. I have only seen male black chins do this. Alamogordo, New Mexico 3/31/23
