Very bright colored, active female laying eggs on our swamp milkweed about 3-4 inches tall. She flew around our yard for about an hour. My wife said she landed on many small milkweed plants and would curl her abdomen under the leaves to lay eggs. She was very excited. My wife said she would come flying by within a couple feet of her. Wish I was home as I would have taken a pictures. We are excited about having eggs laid in our garden. Last year we raised 78 monarchs from eggs. We've been helping monarchs for over about 55 years. Fun!! Mark (and Gratia)
