Large dull colored female. She laid approximately 10 eggs on two 4-in high common milkweed shoots in my front yard. Hung around for about 20 minutes and I did not see her again.
It is a little early for them in North Arkansas.I was not even aware that I had milkweed shoots coming up already until I went over to investigate why she was on these plants.
I wonder if she might have been blown North by the recent storms originating in South Texas. Let me know if you want pictures of the eggs on the milkweed shoots. Monte Shore 512-751-7182
