I saw two Adult Monarchs in Chisholm Creek Park in Wichita, KS this morning. The first appeared to be very faded and was flitting around the lower vegetation, but it never landed, it was headed north. The second was brighter and I only saw it briefly as it headed south in the Park. I did not get a picture of either. Approx. 75 degrees at the time, 1130 am. Strong southerly winds. Very dry here. No milkweed is up. Only Dandelions, Redbuds and perhaps Callery (sp?)Pear blossoms available for nectaring in the Park.
