Signs of Spring

Date: 04/13/2023

Number: 1

We saw our first cedar waxwings of the year early this afternoon ! We saw from 5 to 10 of them at any one time near the top of a hackberry tree by our front yard! They didn’t stay more than about an hour and then flew away. We usually see them once or twice a year, in Spring and/or in the Fall, but they never stay. They are transient here. They are relatively uncommon here and beautiful to see so we really appreciate them when we do see them!
