Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 04/10/2023

Number: 8

This Spring I have seen quite a few adults visiting the milkweed in my yard, resulting in numerous eggs and larvae. Unfortunately, there have been more larvae than the milkweed can support. They eat the plants down to the stems before all the larvae reach the pupal stage. The plants recover quickly, but not fast enough for all to survive. I added plants last year, but need more.
