I have several kinds of milkweed. Aquatic milkweed was the first up. Then Asclepius tuberosa or butterfly weed came up. Monday, 4/17/23 , I saw my common milkweed I am still waiting for the swamp milkweed to appear. I have planted common milkweed seeds in a raised bed and I have most of them sprouting and are about 1 inch tall now. It will take at least a year for them to bloom but they will be in good soil and protected in a raised bed. They will also provide foliage for the larva.
