First sighting of my front yard milkweed emerging.

Last year they didn't come up until at least a week into May, I am delighted to see them in April.

This front area of mine reliably supports A. Californicas (or "showy"?) milkweed every year. Great healthy plants 5.5 to 6 feet tall.

The Monarchs are not here yet, (though I reported having seen others in the neighborhood earlier this year), but they will be soon - and in good steady numbers.
